This week, after a lot of invisible wiring, the galley shelves, the Garmin chart plotter and the motor panel are fitted and some more wood whittling takes place!
This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build.
These videos take a lot of time and effort to make, in what is already a time-intensive project. Your support in watching, subscribing and sharing these videos is very much appreciated. You make a real difference!!

[Music]
you might remember a couple of weeks ago
i said
be pulling wires through and it's you
can see
surrounded by all sorts of um
wiring stuff that's what i've been doing
lots of wires through this week
so that the starboard side now is
forward is completely wired i think i've
got them all in
port sides basically in place so
wiring is nearly finished i've got a
little bit more to do
then along the way for the galley
lighting area i've got three lights to
go in there i think i showed you last
week that i talked about the
led strip lights going there i had to
build the shelves
that these strip lights would be
connected or will be fitted to

so
and then of course the motor panel has
been going on for for a while
and finally got around to getting that
in place so that the motor panel is
fitted and again opens up a load of
wiring because a big wiring loom goes
from that panel through
down to the engine the loom i've got at
the moment is too long so
it'll need to be shortened but um is
that i say panel's now in place i know
the link that looms got to be
it's just in case it's sitting there and
shortening it
[Music]
oh
[Applause]
hmm
oh that
[Applause]
[Applause]

[Music]
there you go
[Applause]
oh
[Applause]
in the end i've just taken those screws
out again and used
these so i've drilled a hole through the
wood so i'm not screwed into the wood at
all now
i've used these screw holes screw these
through
hole screws with these threaded backing
plates you can see one
two three threaded backing plates that
one had to be a wood screw because
otherwise it wouldn't have worked
and i'm also in the process of building
sort of these wooden plants
these sort of wooden prints that the
galley lighting
will be fitted to as well
