learn how an American cop works and how

much technology they put into a police

car was absolutely impressive this is

be the speed of keeping common forces I

can point you to where the radar robbery

bad guys are so like this car that just

the car behind us going 42 miles an hour

around waiting for a call and you know

watching for traffic violations for

example who has the greater cooperation

headlights out

very very cooperative and very

surprisingly very honest person it's

it's refreshing to see that on occasion

oftentimes we'll contact somebody and

I'll usually ask do you have any idea

why why I stopped you and often times

when you know it's clear they know

exactly why I stopped them like for

example if they're going 60 miles an

hour through town which he almost was

you'd be surprised how many people will

respond no I have no idea why you

stopped me and he right off the bat you

know I'm sorry I was I was going too

fast apologetic etc you know I'm very

cooperative and

so sometimes a little bit of honesty

goes a long ways and again I felt I

could accomplish what I need to do

accomplish by simply talking to him I

didn't feel the need to issue a citation

for that we go through town for wire at

a couple stops for either a minor

traffic violations like speeding or

driving without lights or stuff like

this checked out false alarms on

buildings and had to do respond his

duties but nothing big or really bad

happened then Tony showed me the police

department taught me about the history

of the old serious ended an adequate

test on me but because I couldn't find

the minibar in his car cubicles with

computers and so you got if you for

example rest someone like the guy

downstairs you have to write a report

right now or you just go back on the

streets and when you go back you finish

your shift here you like this but

usually we'll go back to what we're

doing and we'll write the reports either

either later that night or sometime

during the following week and it kind of

depends on the severity of the crime you

know as far as how quickly we need to

get it done yeah so got it we try to try

to get paperwork done as soon as you can

but oftentimes there's calls constantly

coming in so you've got to go handle

calls and do the paperwork when you get

at you so how do you like writing a

report I mean compared to being on the

street I I was told when I when I

started this career many years ago I was

told this would be the greatest job in

the world if there was no paperwork you

know but there's there's much paperwork

yeah yeah I never saw Starsky and Hutch

writing any reports

which means you didn't really it was a

calm night and despite some rubber

warnings for some minor traffic

violations Tony at me didn't have to do

much and I learned that if you're honest

and upfront to the police officer they

don't write you today or is it just

because Tony is a nice guy anyway never

know so Tony's thriving away and my

shift is over now it was a quite an

experience to do it I never never did

that before in my life and I really

appreciate Tony's offer to do this and

meeting all the other guys he gave me a

good view about how the police works

here and despite the fact that you read

a lot and you know see a lot of social

media and whatever that you know police

is behaving bad or any people wrong I

couldn't see it here I was actually very

surprised that we stopped a couple cars

with no lights on or speeding and I

turned out always a verbal warning so

yeah good to see that and I really

appreciate the ride and I loved it

good night I'm going to bed now we had

an awesome time in Coos Bay and left

very grateful and was a warm feeling in

our hearts thank you so much Tony at
