This week on Kawai we are happy to share our sailing lifestyle with Trace's brother, also named Jase, who has come to visit us from Australia. We collect him...

last time on Kauai we had strong winds
and great sailing as we cruise up the
coast of Croatia enroute to pick up my
brother Jace from split the conditions
were some of the best we had encountered
so far this season this week we collect
Jace and set sail for the islands where
we find some of the clearest water at
Blue Lagoon before heading south to
zlatni rat we visit a heap of islands
and swim in crystal-clear waters taking
amazing sunsets before dropping Jace off
in Dubrovnik and hiking the famous stone
walls
one of the things we love about sailing
is being able to take our home to cool
cities and Islands we were in swept to
pick up Jace my brother who had never
sailed and was keen to try it out we had
a day planned in sweet before we would
set sail going on peeps
[Music]
Bali gorgeou after not celebrating
Jace's arrival it was time to show him
around and get some exercise
[Music]
[Music]
we chose Mary Ann Hill as it had great
views of sweet and the surrounding
islands of Salter branch and Hawara all
Islands we would be visiting with Jets
we probably should have taken more
notice of the storm clouds forming over
our anchorage but more of that later
all right well we did it'd be war
deserve beers Jess beer o'clock mate
Marin Tytos apparently this is very good
wait deserve it
smash that guy so he said Evan
when it just keeps coming in big shout
coming through they're going Tiny Tim
and those treacherous waters we're all
gonna try and fit in there together but
only nails are real smart ID standing
foot invaded there's a whole heap of
beer and shopping in there as well so
should be pretty heavy anyway what
happens well we went on a bit of a bit
of a walk up my John Hill just to check
it out and always we always know this
should prepare your boat through there's
gonna be bad weather but we check
forecast and it was perfect before we
left
and yes storm came in then been caught
out in Croatia a few times so we should
have known better but we had our tent up
which weeps about cool drew yeah and
both sides and this bad boy was in the
water just hanging on to one strap the
other one had a few little snapped off a
bit but didn't lose anything
thought it was gonna be a great old
afternoon so I may have said that looks
a bit stormy yeah you may have said it's
just rain okay there we came across and
then it's calmed down now there was some
waves and we both got so saturated and
really it was we left Jace there because
he's good he's grown and other bits and
pieces so we said you stay there and we
talked about this little tiny was full
by the time we got here
there's then time South Blue Lagoon
where we had heard of crystal-clear
waters all right guys first I'll guys
move left split yep we got sales up my
sales it is amazing what sailing yes
just chilling out a little bit what do
you think cap happy with the conditions

bit windy am I gonna be faster but uh
pretty chill Wyoming nice

yeah Lily good she's blue how is it
lovely
I'll be wondering why sitting on this
hard and is is sitting on the other side
and he she's how you do the diving boat
we happen to both you on this side I sit
back in the water with a backpack on I
was agile enough stay on the encourage
feeling fast and strong winds predicted
we headed for a large bay not far from
Blue Lagoon protect good reviews just
dodging boats here though
well we quite like the look of that one
what about this one there you go and
pass just too big
guys what we experienced today other
than beautiful swimming pretty good
saving and currently some carnage
carnage terms of anchors dragging
anchors dragon they're not on the boat
they've just cruised through the
Anchorage taken out a couple of votes
once the winds died down the bay was a
great place to be
the Anchorage was full liveaboards with
the local restaurants delivering
takeaway or picking up people to take to
dinner in there are obese trace had a
healthy version of spaghetti bolognaise
plan for us men which we enjoyed eating
as the Sun was going down

I feel like we shows so many sunsets but
you know it's like near a encourage it's
pretty spectacular life is good
playing some cards we looked up and
we're like oh how good's that sunset
here is the view
where we got to just
- yes gonna be odd
we talented a
yes captain here's the betta pasta the
rains over T bro what could it really go
wrong sales are up yep and yeah it'll be
good putter invest on
got snorkel out getting the water check
the anchor leaving it we're going out to
lunch I've done some wine tasting so
mister I and water make sure all is good
it's the wings are meant to get to 20 to
30 knots I better make sure and we did

how is it back there huggy we are
heading upside of million windows
dropped off but we are still attempting
to sail steve-o's or not Judy with
Jason's 12 Day holiday coming to an end
we decided our last night would be spent
in a southerly Anchorage of South Lunara
on million we would take a restaurant
boy in the picture stay where they would
collect us for dinner and a shot
we'll be classier than funny
much the same thank you good evening
thank you very much well service all
right jump in peeps
vodka
chose auntie's place and tried a local
dish called fish pecker it was a great
way to finish our last night with Jase
you drop Jace off in Dubrovnik the next
morning and anchored in satin Bay five
nautical miles from the old town
we found it perfect to explore Dubrovnik
and easy bus to stop where are we off to
today well we're finally going to stone
talked about going there a few times so
should be a good day so yeah it's done
big war
it's not the Great Wall it's not the
Indian War Croatian yes and how long is
it
thanks five case we had considered
sailing into ston but had red mixed
reviews ideally if you have a fast ten
day you could anchor at the head of the
bay and tender in you may be able to
more on the pontoon very closest on
however we went on a Friday and it was
full of charter boats returning oh well
that's the one that we can't go on I'm
gonna throw it out there that I'm really
disappointed we can't do it pretty
intent actually that one day we're going
yep really I'm alright
[Music]
if this road is right
[Music]
[Music]
we on the downward
[Music]
all by hand
yeah well do you know what's going on
with this ball I see you're on the
computer last night doing a bit of
research on stomp 50 years there's a
long time so you got one year to finish
all right and then go back please I'll
be I'll be Wikipedia stew see if this is
correct
no idea
stomp ax calm
yeah all right what else you got going
say that taking them so long because
they are trying to replicate the
original building style which was by
hand so all these rocks are hand carved
good packed back anything else we've
made my least on waterfront the oysters
yep this was a great way to end our time
in Croatia next week we begin our two
night Passage to Greece
