you

they do take debit here in the Turks and
Caicos okay so now I got to give them my
departure cards here with a passport
along with the passport so here's our
departure cards we've got it to where
we're basically barely running it
doesn't break that much and then we got
full sales but it's a bummer
sunsets are beautiful but not when
you're in the Turks and Caicos banks
trying to get a Kurd before dark so it's
just after 7:00 the Sun nearly set
another 13 hour day of sailing under
sail power alone you think we might have
some seaweed cut in the top hopefully
nothing more serious than that but we'll
have to wait for morning before we dive
down and check it out
everything was going great until right
about here where we experienced some
major engine difficulties not knowing
what it was but knowing we couldn't run
the engine under sail power alone we
crossed the Caicos bank all the way over
to six Hills Cay chasing daylight we
didn't make it in until dark the next
morning we drove on the prop to find
that it was shattered instead of sailing
on to lupron like we'd planned we knew
that our best option was to head instead
for South Caicos so we exited the Caicos
Bank here went along the southern tip of
Long kay and into Cockburn Harbour down
at the south end of South Caicos here we
plan to make some calls and hopefully
find another prop before making the long
crossing down to the Dominican Republic
you just missed me on the edge
like keeled over okay we got attack
ready ready
turn into it
we're going over stuff right now but
nothing crazy one of your dumb

yeah
don't worry about securing it babe just
drop it and get on the anchor once it
gets down there good job
looks like our prop is still giving us a
little bit of propulsion okay I'll show
you guys a little bit of what we had to
deal with so this is where we left here
at the six Hills this morning we came up
on one tack you can see there's a
numerous corals
dangerous rocks so we came up on about
heading straight east and then we had to
make this tack you see all the coral we
were coming out and land so we had to
come straight down here right about to
there and then we made another tack I
don't have to zoom in a little for this
see those red lines that's more coral so
he tacked to here and we were heading
that dangerous coral so we had to do
another tack come down and then we were
coming at this rock here and show us so
then we tacked real quick came out this
way and then we were able to ride this
tack all the way out to the deep out of
kratom out over the banks which it got
real hairy when you cross over that it's
a little lumpy and then from here we
were able to ride it all the way up to
our entrance and then right here we were
able to just right downwind and rode it
all the way into where we're anchored
now well water

now that come up and show it to you guys
here's what remains of the prop and see
here here's what Sterling's talking
about you can see right here where it
snapped it's not shiny
that's why sterling thinks it was
cracked a long time ago and when we
finally got the cooling system fixed and
we could run it out a nice rpm it just
flung this blade the blade flung and it
hit the bow and it bent it bent the
bracket down there but when I was
hammering on the prop you can see some
dents trying to get it off it didn't
work you had to put the chisel and real
tight and smash it from here seemed to
work and go and turn it around and keep
hitting it hard and keep rotating it and
with that chisel hitting it on the base
here
most of South Caicos does not have
running water so they come to the rain
collection facility to fill up buckets
Hey
so we got 15 gallons of water it costed
45 cents 15 cents for each one of these
pretty pretty good deal I think
we looked around to find a propeller
that might replace our broken one but it
appears that our best bet is to go to
the shipyard in Provo

up next we take a ferry to Provo to
patrol for a prom and on the return trip
we see an enormous tiger shark and
sterling patches up his mast and
attempts to raise it these are the tales
of Bo AB
