  • Thousands of visitors will be able to see the famous vessels including topsail schooners, brigantines, brigs and barques before they set off on a race to Gothenburg in Sweden.

    There will also be lots to see and do during the Tall Ships Regatta with 1.5 miles of entertainment such as live music, grand parades and firework displays as well as experiencing a spectacular crew parade and parade of sail.

    Every day during the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta the following activities will take place:

    On South Beach, Blyth there will be a fun fair, Blyth battery, sand sculptures, canoeing and paintballing.

    At the Bandstand there will be a fun fair, pony rides, catering, Gin and Prosecco bar, and deckchairs.

    At the Quayside and Port there will be a funfair, observation ride, food and drink, Best of Blyth with Blyth Enterprise Trust, RAF displays and Sea Cadets.

    At Ridley Park there will be the Northumberland Village, a fun fair and children’s play area and water park.

    At Blyth Market Place there will be a fun fair and Best of Blyth with Blyth Development Trust.

    Throughout Blyth there will be street theatre with Bell and Bullock, Captain Jack Sparrow, Giant Seagulls, Lobster a la Cart, Cod Choir, Mermaids, Teaclub, sand sculpture artists and Boom Bike.

    12pm Reg Vardy Band, Bandstand stage

    12pm - Sing Morpeth Community Choir, Dun Cow stage

    12pm - Lets Circus opens, Ridley Park

    12:10pm - The Brothers Swag, Ridley Park

    12:45pm - Senor Bullzini, Ridley Park

    1pm - Marshall Academy of Irish Dance, Dun Cow stage

    1:10pm - Tumble Circus, Ridley Park

    1:30pm - The Lady Sings, South Beach stage

    2pm - Heaton Voices Community Choir, Bandstand stage

    2pm - Tyne Valley Big Band, Dun Cow stage

    3pm - Marshall Academy of Irish Dance, South Beach stage

    3pm - Lets Circus opens, Ridley Park

    3pm - Crew and Community Parade (Ships crews and Headway Arts, followed by Crew prize giving), Dun Cow stage

    3.10pm - The Brothers Swag, Ridley Park

    3:45pm - Senor Bullzini, Ridley Park

    4;10pm - Tumble Circus, Ridley Park

    4:30pm - Rock Choir North East, Bandstand stage
